Funding Alternatives Forum on November 17th 2016 at the Cable Factory

The traditional funding models of art and cultural organisations are faltering. Funding Alternatives Forum will open new and alternative insights into sustainable business models for the cultural field.

At Funding Alternatives you will:

• hear talks about whether artists will eventually become entrepreneurs, how the creative city of Telliskivi in Tallinn was born and how it supports culture, how the Finnish Institute in Paris revamped itself, how a small dance company found an alternative business model

• participate in clinics where you can train your organisation in the fields of audience development, social media, funding and business models

• join in discussions with experts concerning the changing operational environment of artistic and cultural organisations.

The keynote speaker of the event is Mr. Bart Van Der Roost, the CEO & Co-Founder of neoScores (TEDx Ghent 2015) from Belgium.

Funding Alternatives Forum is a part of Creative Lenses research project, which is funded by European Union’s Creative Europe Programme. The project studies and develops new sustainable business models for arts and cultural organisations. The project will organise similar Forums also in London and Valencia this fall.
